Last week, we proudly hosted the Presentation and Award Ceremony for the AlipayHK 𝛂dvice: Secondary School Student UI Design Competition & Job Shadowing Program. This initiative was not just a competition. It was a platform for secondary school students to apply their creativity, explore user-centered design and step into the real world of FinTech.
From over 60 submissions, the top 3 UI designs were selected by a distinguished panel of judges, including Simon Leung (Deputy Chief Executive), Keith Cheung (Chief Marketing Officer), Vivian Wong & Jerry Hong (Representatives from the Product and UX/UI Team) from AlipayHK, and Ken Lo, CEO of SEED Foundation. Most notably, the top 3 design skins will be brought to life on the AlipayHK app, allowing real users to select the student-created skin. This serves as a powerful validation of youth potential and innovation.
We also invited the audience to take part in a live mini-game to guess the winning designs and the prizes awarded. As participants made their choices, it became clear that recognizing great ideas isn't always straightforward — it takes vision, curiosity, and a willingness to look beyond the obvious.
At SEED Foundation, we believe that students are more than their exam scores. Potential is not defined by textbooks. It is revealed through real-world exposure, opportunities to create and partnerships with industry leaders.
A sincere thank you to AlipayHK for this meaningful collaboration and to everyone who took part in our workshop and voted for the students’ designs. Your support made the experience truly special.
We look forward to welcoming more industry leaders to join us in co-creating opportunities that empower young talent to thrive.
