WXP 2025 Marks a Full-Circle Summer of Growth, Confidence, and Career Discovery

From classroom learners to confident young professionals — we’ve just wrapped up this year’s Workplace Experience Program. Watching our students complete WXP always feels a bit like welcoming someone home — they leave full of questions, and return full of stories.

This summer, we saw them grow from classroom participants into young professionals. Starting with interviews and interactive workshops, and finally stepping into real workplaces.

Across 24 host companies, our 62 students spent a month navigating office culture and taking on real projects in fields like digital marketing, product design, UX, HR, and more. They weren’t just students — they were team members, contributing ideas, learning fast, and asking questions that made everyone think a little deeper.

One student shared during the program:

"The company treated me like part of the team. Even though I was a student, they didn’t exclude me or hold back communication. Everything happening in the company was transparent, and our suggestions were genuinely considered."

This is exactly the kind of culture we hope to build through WXP — one where students don’t just observe, but belong. Where learning is mutual, and young voices are valued. When students feel seen, heard, and included, the workplace becomes not just a destination — but a launchpad.

At our wrap-up session last week, we saw it all come full circle. Although the Black Rain Signal meant we had to shift our celebration online, the impact, passion, and fire in the room were as strong as ever.

We were honoured to have one of our former Cloud Computing & WXP students return — not as a participant, but as the MC of the event. Hearing him reflect on his own journey, while confidently guiding this year’s celebration, was a full-circle moment that made everything feel that much more meaningful.
