What does it really mean to prepare young people for a future we can't fully predict?

Last week, we brought around 160 Hong Kong students to JUMPSTARTER 2026, one of Asia's most forward-looking innovation showcases hosted by Alibaba Hong Kong Entrepreneurs Fund. We didn't bring them there just to look around. Every part of the experience was curated by our team and guided by assigned docents, giving each student an exclusive and tailored journey designed to challenge how they think about technology, work and their own role in the world.

Our students stood face to face with humanoid robots that can walk 108km without falling, AI tools that teach mathematics one-to-one, and green tech that transforms used tea leaves into sustainable building materials. We asked them a question bigger than any exhibit could answer: in a world of increasingly capable AI, what happens to patience, critical thinking, and our ability to connect with one another?

This is exactly the kind of question we want more young people to sit with. Experiences like this don't happen in isolation. We look forward to partnering with more forward-thinking companies who share our belief that the best thing we can do for young people is to bring them closer to the world they are about to inherit.
