SEED Insider

In two afternoons, SEED Foundation guided 240 secondary school students through Asia's leading startup and tech event, JUMPSTARTER, which was held last week. Through 16 carefully-organized small-group tours, we gave students personalized curations to cutting-edge innovation, with our specially-trained guides transforming advanced tech concepts into engaging, student-friendly insights!

Our guides didn’t just explain the tech — they broke down how startups grow, thrive, aspire to solve real-world issues. We also made the students active participants — re-enforcing their knowledge through a treasure hunt, and turning them into mini VCs as they voted on which of the Top 30 startups they’d invest in.

Students experienced the future firsthand - from LimX Dynamics' revolutionary bipedal robot to AI-generated holographic art and HKBU's immersive 3D audiovisual experience redefining the future of cinema and heritage preservation.

A chance encounter with Lillian Cheong, JP, Under Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, and her encouraging words were an additional highlight for a lucky group of students.

Pulling off this tour was no easy task—but witnessing students light up with curiosity, confidence, and a spark of ambition made every effort worthwhile.
